After the first 60-70 pages absolutly nothing happens. Enjoyed other books (Bruce trilogy and others) very much but this is dreadful. The Scottish landscape was just as much of a character in the book and I wished the publisher had included a map.Īn absolute bore. I'm not wholly familiar with the Celtic church, but I have a hard time believing they would have encouraged lone wolf missionary journey's without the blessing of one's Bishop.īut the first two parts were quite good.
